Continue Button

What is the "Continue Button"?
Can it be turned off?
What are the various options for this button?

The actions of the "Continue Button" are controlled from your "Access Options -> General -> Basic Site Settings."  The "Continue Button" may also be known as the "Welcome Button."

Once into the Basic Site Settings, choose the option for GENERAL SITE & CONTACT INFORMATION.  In the left column there is a heading titled, "Go to Start."  It is this section that determines what action occurs when the "Continue" button is selected or if it is even displayed.  There are four options as follows:

  • None: When selected, the continue button does not appear at all.
  • Standard: The standard or default action is to take them to the first page of the registration process.
  • Solo Registration: This option takes them to the option for a quick solo registration.
  • Other: This is reserved for future use and is currently not yet active.

The most common other standard use is to have the continue button point to a different page other than the start of the registration process. A common use may be if you wish to first take them to a second explanation page. This is done in two steps.

First, you follow the step in the previous paragraph to shut off the continue button by selecting "none." Second you go to your welcome message and put in a custom button at the bottom.

For example, if you want to have the user directed to message 556 instead you would turn off the "continue" button and then put the following at the bottom of the "Welcome" message.would put this at the bottom of the welcome message:

(b|556)b(Continue|b)
This will take out the standard button and replace it with a new button (that still says continue) that will take the user to messsage # 556.
