PayPal Express Needed Information

Where do I obtain the Four Pieces of Information to set up my PayPal Express Account?
What kind of PayPal account is needed?


PayPal Account Options
To the best of our knowledge, these options are available for all four types of PayPal accounts: Personal, Premier, Business or Student. If you learn differently, please let us know.

Finding the Four Pieces of Information
This answer assumes you understand the process of setting up a PayPal account and how to then activate the "Pay with PayPal" button within EventCORE. If not, please read this answer

Here are screen shots to show you how to obtain the needed information.

1. Get Your PayPal Account Name
After logging in to your "PayPal" account, click the "Gear" icon to go to your account settings. You should see a page like the following. Your account name is what is located in the Blue Box next to your profile picture and above the date you joined.

2. Get Your API Username, API Password and Signature.
These three items will be located in the same place. These screens show how to get there.

Selling Tools
Click on the "Summary" Nav button and then look for the "Selling Tools" link. Click the "Seller Preferences".

Select API Access
On the next page look for the API Access and click the "Update" link.

Request API Credentials
If you have never set up your API access the page will look like the following. If you already have set up this access it will read slightly different by giving you the option to "edit" your existing settings. Either way, click the same place on this page.

First Time Select and Agree Page
If this is your first time, the following page will appear. If you are returning to edit/change existing credentials, this page will be skipped and you'll go directly to the next page.
