Site Service Fees
How does site Hosting Work?
Do the charges still apply for free events?
Are their any waivers for the service fee?
When and How do I pay the Fees?
Site Service Fees
The data for your event needs to be managed. We use fast servers with redundancy and protection. The amount of work involved in managing these databases is proportional to usage. As such, a minimal site service fee will be assessed as follows:
50 attendees or less, no charge.
51-100 attendees $15 set up fee
101 to 500, $0.15/attendee
501 to 1000, $0.12/attendee
1001 to 2500, $0.10/attendee
2501 and above, $250 (max fee)
So for a conference of 450 people, you'd pay $67.50. For an event of 750 you would pay $90. For a big conference of 2500 the cost would be $250. Please note that the industry standard is typically in the $2 to $4 range per attendee plus set-up fees. We are basically just covering our costs.
Discounts for Free Events
For those events in which there is no charge for the attendees and the housing module is not used, a 50% discount applies and fees don't begin until you pass 100 attendees.
Other Discounts and Charges
Special waivers would be considered upon request. These fees are separate from Tier 2 and Tier 3 Technical support as well as the credit card service fee if you use our credit card.
When and How to Pay Fees
You will have 30 days after the last day of your event to clean up any validation issues and set your site to "closed" status. At that time an invoice will be generated based on your attendee fees, support charges and credit card fees. You'll be notified of this invoice and will make payment thorugh our partner accounting "Wave Accounting." If you used our credit card to collect your event revenue, this invoice will be subtracted from revenue sent to you.
Where Does the Money Go
Although originally designed and managed by Cru, the ongoing operation of EventCORE has been turned over to "Suggestion Tree, Inc." They handle the Tier 3 Technical support along with the processing of credit card funds.
These hosting fees will be reviewed regularly and adjusted if necessary.
